30th Aug.

Dear Maw, Paw & Al, Settling in quite well here after initial homesickness - you may have noticed it in my voice when I phoned today. UNB at the moment is very quiet & I felt fairly lonely till my temporary flatmate moved in. Once term gets started proper I'm sure I'll be fine. Fredericton is nice & the UNB campus is beautiful: mostly full of buildings like the one overleaf. The weather too is gorgeous - very hot & sunny. I'll probably have to buy shorts soon!! The people are friendly.
Hope you're all well & I'll write soon. Love, [CENSORED: forename].
