My dear Sheena,

We thought the enclosed news flashes might be of interest to you. Barbara John and Alex have now left. They have a rented house in Balloch for a few months until they see how things go and they can buy their own place. John has started work and there already seems some interest in the project following the press calls and a short snippet on T.V. It won't be easy selling something that is not yet there. "Take the High Road", the Scottish 'Soap' filmed at Luss now has changed its story to include the new golf course. I expect Tom [CENSORED: surname] has something to do with that. Barbara's address is [CENSORED: address] [CENSORED: telephone number]. Our house seems very quiet after the hustle and bustle of the last few weeks. I have at last given up at the cottage homes and have spent to-day typing out my last reports etc. I will miss it after twenty years. but it will be nice to have more time to myself and I still am a Director so will maintain my interest.

Kathryn seems fine. She has re-decorated her living room and I must say the flat seems much improved. She will soon make new friends. It has been nice for her to have Barbara around during recent weeks and I think she plans to visit them for the week-end after work on Friday. Balloch is not far from Glasgow.

Dad has been hard at work getting the Allotment into order for the year. We have had some lovely days recently, quite warm and all the daffodils and spring blossom is lovely. Its been a little colder to-day but nice and bright.

How are things with you? Busy I am sure. I was glad to hear you had been playing some bridge. I have had quite a few games recently. Just friendly chatty bridge.

Thats all for now, Much Love,

Mum xxx.
