MINUTES
1st Meeting, 2001 (Session 1)

The meeting opened at 10.07 am.
1. Items in Private: The Committee agreed to take items 5, 6 and 7 in private.
2. New Member of the Committee: The Committee agreed to defer consideration of this item.
3. Reporters: The Committee agreed a draft report by the Disability Reporter.
4. "Fair for All": The Committee considered the Scottish Executive report on access to, and use of the NHS by people from ethnic minority backgrounds.
5. Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) (Scotland) Bill (in private): The Committee considered the general principles of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) (Scotland) Bill.
6. Gender Inquiry (in private): The Committee agreed a paper on the gender inquiry.
7. Work Programme (in private): The Committee agreed a paper on its work programme.
The meeting closed at 10.58 am.
