I must tak Notice, that Persons, who have done on Injury, have often been the loudest in their Complaints; and I beg leave to inform the Gentlemen of the Faculty, and Dr Reid, that I am not at all, conscious, of having utterd any unsuitable Expreſsions, with respect to him, or to have used Language, which either requires Apology, or demands an [ ] - as that yet the man, however, has made a formal Complaint to the Facult, I must very earnestly insist, and th. other Gentlemen, who are complaind of, will I doubt not, join in this Requisition, [¿] in Order to proceed in this matter regularly, and to do Justice to all Parties, the Faculty, will in the first Place, enter into their Minutes, my Complaint, made on the 6th of March, of the Meſsage, which was brought to me on the 4th, together with Dr Reid's, acknowledgment of its Purport, and his Answers, to [¿] Questions; and that the Faculty, will give their opinion, upon that Subject. This, it is humbly apprehended, is the fair, and natura Order, of proceeding, previous, to any Judgment, being given of what past in Consequence of that Meſsage. Tho' I cannot be present, at your Meeting, I feel no Uneasineſs on that ſtead, the Cause Sir, as far as I am concerned, is perfectly simple, and I have an intire Reliance, both on the Discernment, and Probity, of my Colleagues, and I am very respectfully, [¿], and Dear Sir Your most obedient humble ſervant Will.
